CLIR was established in 1973, the first educational experiment of its kind in the western United States, and has served as a model for other learning in retirement programs. CLIR has assumed full responsibility for both program and administration and has become a free standing unit of University of California Extension.

wpeD.gif (27445 bytes)A new peer class is being conducted by member Harold Levy.   This class, "The Streets of San Francisco" will be sharing the history of many fabled local names. 

In January, CLIR will inaugurate a group teaching course with several members sharing specialized knowledge on facets of Italy, including the study of arts & culture, food, history, and much more.
