SAGE SOCIETY
(Seniors' Achievement and Growth through Education)

SAGE
started as an idea by Ed Blum in January, 1988 at the University of Arizona. Eighteen months later their first classes were started.

Their study groups include Personal Growth, General Courses, Special Series and Seminars. The seminars have been established to provide an intensive study experience for SAGE members. Participants experience a more in-depth, focused area of study then in a regular course. Significant assigned reading and class participation are expected.

Last Spring, Sage held a Retreat at the Wild Horse Ranch which was attended by 77 members. The subject of the meeting was "humor." The meeting was filled with laughter, clever jokes, gags, puns, songs, sketches and even a dance routine. Proof that laughter is still the best medicine:

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
SAGE
SAGE who?
SAY d'ja hear about all the great jokes cracked at the retreat?
